15 militants killed in N. Afghanistan

Xinhua, June 14, 2016 Adjust font size:

The ongoing operations against Taliban in the northern Baghlan province have killed 15 militants over the past 24 hours, provincial governor Abdul Sattar Bariz said Tuesday.

"Up to 15 Taliban rebels have been killed and 22 others injures over the past two days in Sarkh Kotal, chashma-e-Shir and adjoining areas," Bariz told reporters here.

The operations which launched last week, would continue until the government control restores to the said areas, the official said.

Taliban militants who have been fighting the government forces in the said areas since early this year to expand their territory have yet to make comment. Endit
