Singapore stocks close 1.33 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 37.54 points, or 1.33 percent, to close at 2,785.43.

A total of 1.61 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 900.7 million Singapore dollars (663.5 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 317 to 101, while 488 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 20.83 points, or 0.73 percent, to close at 2,822.97 on June 10. Enditem
