Singapore strongly condemns "heinous attack" in U.S. city of Orlando

Singapore on Monday strongly condemned the "heinous attack" at a nightclub in U.S. city of Orlando, which left at least 50 people dead and 53 others wounded.

"There can be no justification for such actions," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said in a statement on Monday.

MFA conveyed the deepest condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

Singaporean leaders on Monday also expressed condolences over the early Sunday attack, the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

U.S. President Barack Obama on Sunday called the shooting an "act of terror" and "act of hate." Endit
