Xinhua, June 12, 2016 Adjust font size:

Internacional moved to the top of Brazil's Serie A standings on Saturday after a 3-1 home victory over America Mineiro.

Forward Aylon scored twice in the first six minutes before Adalberto pegged a goal back for the visitors with 20 minutes gone.

Defender Ernando then made it 3-1 with a header 17 minutes from time.

The result at the Beira-Rio stadium in Porto Alegre meant Internacional now have 16 points, two more than local rivals Gremio, who are second in the standings.

In other matches on Saturday, Gremio drew 1-1 at Fluminense, Ponte Preta overcame Chapecoense 2-1 and Atletico Paranaense won 2-1 at Sao Paulo. Endit
