Islamic organ attributes terror in Iraq to ineffective solutions

Xinhua, June 12, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) on Saturday condemned Friday's terrorist bombings in Baghdad, linking the rampant terrorist acts to the dysfunctional handling of Iraq's tense situation.

The terror in Iraq is a result of the failure in handling the country's issues, coupled with foreign agendas aimed at perpetuating the situation of discord and hostility between the components of the Iraqi people for clear expansionist ends, ISESCO said in a statement.

It called on the Iraqi leaders to join hands to save Iraq from the serious troubles undermining its unity, sovereignty and integrity.

The organization also reiterated its strong rejection of all forms of terrorism and sectarian intolerance, expressing its condolences to the families of the victims. Endit
