Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned on Thursday Turkish citizens who are visiting France during Euro 2016 of possible terror threats.
According to a statement released by the ministry, Turkish citizens are told to be cautious of their surroundings in crowded places and public transportation.
The statement also advised the citizens who will be following the tournament pay attention to the announcements which will be delivered by the foreign ministry, Paris Embassy and other consular offices in France.
The European Football Championships 2016 will be held in France from June 10 to July 10.
Security of the football event has been a major issue since last November's terror attacks that killed 130 people in Paris, including the Stade de France where the opening game and the final will be held.
With the most recent bombings in Brussels, Euro 2016 has been seen as "potential targets" for terrorist attacks and football fans have been urged to be vigilant during Euro 2016 in France. Endit
