Audi's sales in China continue to rise in May

German automaker Audi AG announced on Thursday its sales in China continued to increase in May, up by 5.5 percent year-on-year.

A total 50,002 cars were sold to Chinese customers in May. As a result, sales since January rose to 239,118, up 5.8 percent compared with the same period last year.

Worldwide, around 164,150 cars were sold in May. bringing the number of deliveries since January to around 784,250, up 5.3 percent year-on-year, according to a statement by the company.

"May once again showed that our new models are finding strong acceptance in the market," Dietmar Voggenreiter, a member of the board of management for sales and marketing, stated. Endit
