French president condemns Tel Aviv "heinous" attack

French President Francois Hollande on Thursday strongly denounced the "heinous attack" which claimed four dead and injured many others in Tel Aviv.

Hollande expressed support to help Israeli authorities. He also sent condolences to the families of the victims, his office said in a press release.

Late on Wednesday, two gunmen opened fire on people at a popular shopping and restaurant area in Tel Aviv.

Identified by police as Palestinians from a village near the city of Hebron, the attackers were arrested with one of them injured, according to media reports. Endit
