Dollar changes hands in upper 106 yen range in early deals in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 106 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo on Thursday morning, largely in line with levels seen overnight in New York.

At 9 a.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 106.82-86 yen compared with 106.93-107.03 yen in New York and 106.97-99 yen on Wednesday in Tokyo at 5 p.m. local time.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1402 dollars and 121.80-81 yen against 1.1389-1399 dollars and 121.94-122.04 yen in New York and 1.1367-1369 dollars and 121.59-63 yen on Wednesday afternoon in late trade. Endit
