Xinhua, June 7, 2016 Adjust font size:

Russia holds all-army championships of "tank biathlon" and "Suvorov's onslaught" in the Chelyabinsk region, central Russia, on June 7-10, the Russian news agency Interfax said Tuesday.

"The best crews have arrived here from all of the Russian Military Districts - Western, Central, Southern and Eastern," Colonel Yaroslav Roshupkin, assistant commander of the Central Military District, was quoted as saying.

"18 crews participate in the race on the tanks T-72B3 and 24 crews on the infantry fighting vehicles," Roshupkin said, adding that the competitors have to race on a special 5.8km route with different obstacles including maneuvering area, anti-tank ditches, minefields, and many others. Endit
