Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen on Tuesday vowed to maintain the country's hard-won peace and political stability.

"In my capacity as the president of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), the prime minister and the candidate of prime minister post in next elections, I vow to protect peace and political stability and boost further development," he said at an inauguration ceremony of the 100th factory in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone here.

The prime minister called on people to continue supporting him to uphold peace and urged them to avoid any activities that could cause social chaos.

"I will not allow anyone to destroy our hard-won peace," he said. "At any cost, I will pay the price to protect peace and development for Cambodia." Endit
