Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla pursue Brazil defender

Xinhua, June 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

Brazil international defender Rodrigo Caio is being sought by Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla, according to media reports.

Dortmund officials are currently in Brazil for talks with with representatives for Caio and his club Sao Paulo, the Sambafoot news portal said on Saturday.

Caio, who can also play as a holding midfielder, is currently with Brazil's national team for the centenary edition of the Copa America in the United States.

The 24-year-old made his international debut in Brazil's 2-0 friendly victory over Panama last week.

Last year Sao Paulo announced that Caio had signed with Valencia but the deal collapsed when he reportedly failed a medical examination. Endit
