British FTSE 100 rises 0.39 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday rose by 0.39 percent, or 24.02 points, to 6,209.63 points.

Share price of Fresnillo increased by 7.57 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips.

Randgold Resources, Glencore, Anglo American and Merlin Entertainments increased by 6.84 percent, 5.52 percent, 5.17 percent and 3.63 percent respectively. Tesco led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.42 percent, following by J Sainsbury (4.17 percent), Wm Morrison Supermarkets (3.82 percent), Standard Life (1.92 percent) and Johnson Matthey (1.77 percent).
