Indian stocks snap winning streak, close lower

After five straight sessions of gains, Indian stocks closed in the red Tuesday ahead of release of key macroeconomic data.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 26,667.96, 57.64 points or 0.22 percent down from previous close of 26,725.60, with a turnover of 1156.01 crore rupees (about 172.1 million U.S. dollars). Endit
