Chrysler to recall 13,676 Cherokee SUVs

Xinhua, May 31, 2016 Adjust font size:

Chrysler will recall 13,676 imported vehicles on the Chinese mainland due to defective windshield wipers, the country's top quality watchdog said on Tuesday.

The recall, set to begin on June 10, affects 13,676 imported Jeep Cherokee SUVs manufactured between Jan. 4, 2013 and July 11, 2014, according to a notice on the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

Chrysler said the affected vehicles' windshield wipers may fail to work, posing safety risks.

The automaker promised to check all affected cars and replace defective parts free of charge.

Owners can contact Chrysler via hotline number 400-650-0118 for further information. Endi
