A book entitled "Silence of the Summit," written by a Chinese mountaineer, was released here on Monday.

Amid a function held at the Prime Minister's Official Residence Baluwatar in the capital, Nepalese Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli unveiled the book.

Addressing the function, the prime minister said that the book will contribute a lot to strengthening friendly relationship between the two countries and people.

The premier praised the Chinese mountaineer, Wang Jing, saying that one can learn from her courage, patience and continued endeavors while climbing major peaks including the world's highest peak Mount Qomolangma.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai thanked the Chinese mountaineer for bringing out the new book.

"I hope this book will encourage more Chinese tourists to visit Nepal in the days to come," the ambassador said, expressing his believe that the book will promote the friendly relations between China and Nepal.

While talking about the Nepalese prime minister's visit to China in March this year, the envoy said the visit was successful in promoting the friendly relations between the two countries.

"Nepal-China relationship has entered a new era after Oli's official visit to China. Now China and Nepal are working hard to implement the outcomes of the prime minister's successful visit," he said. Endit
