Three people including one foreigner were injured when a blast hit a vehicle in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Monday morning, reported local Urdu TV channel ARY.
The nationality of the injured is yet to be determined. But the name of the injured foreigner (Fan Chi in pronunciation) indicates he or she could be an Asian.
The other two injured in the blast include a bodyguard and a driver, said local TV channel Geo.
According to the local media reports, the blast took place at about 10:00 am (local time) when a Toyota-made Hiace MPV with a plate number JF-7639 moving on the National Highway in the eastern part of the city was hit by a remote-controlled bomb planted on the green belt along the road.
Rao Anwar, a senior superintendent police officer of the city, said that a threat letter of a nationalist group was found on the blast site. However, he did not reveal the contents of the letter.
The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital where they are said to be in stable condition. Endit
