Germany's benchmark DAX index continues to rise

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Wednesday continued to rise and closed at 10,205.21 points.

Business climate in Germany improved and the euro remains on a relatively low level against the U.S. dollar, contributing the buying mood on the market, according to local analysts.

The blue-chip DAX index added 147.9 points, or 1.47 percent.

The utilities company EON rose by 3.68 percent. Commerzbank advanced by 3.67 percent. Deutsche Bank climbed by 3.44 percent. Daimler and BMW went up by 3.34 percent and 2.38 percent.

On the other hand, HeidelbergCement dropped by 1 percent. Vonovia, a real estate company, slid by 0.2 percent.

Bayer was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 493.62 million euros (around 553 million U.S. dollars). Endit
