China has condemned the terrorist attacks that killed 154 people in two Syrian cities on Monday.
"China firmly opposes all forms of terrorism," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a daily media briefing on Wednesday.
At least 48 people were reportedly killed by two car bombs and a suicide bomber in the city of Tartus, and at least 106 people in the city of Jableh were killed by five bombings.
Political solutions are the only way out of the Syrian crisis, Hua said.
"China hopes all relevant parties will fully implement the UN Security Council's resolution and the consensus reached at the fifth International Syria Support Group ministerial meeting," according to the spokesperson.
She called on the parties concerned to maintain and extend the ceasefire and resume peace talks. Endi
