Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on Monday reiterated the importance of enhancing and expanding the economic and commercial cooperation between Sudan and China in the fields of agriculture and renewable energy.

Al-Bashir made the remarks on Monday while receiving a Chinese delegation, headed by N1ur Bekri, Director of China's National Energy Administration.

"President al-Bashir has reiterated the importance of enhancing and expanding the standing economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries, opening new horizons of cooperation in fields of oil, gas and renewable energy and increasing the agricultural and industrial investments," Badr-Eddin Mahmoud, Sudan's Finance Minister, told reporters following the meeting.

"During the meeting, the Chinese delegation expressed a great keenness to enhance the standing partnership with Sudan and enter into vital partnerships in sectors such as energy and agricultural cooperation," he noted.

The Chinese delegation arrived in Khartoum on Sunday for a three-day visit. During the visit, the delegation is expected to hold talks with Sudan's ministers of petroleum, energy and finance to boost the economic cooperation. Endit
