Several arrested in connection with shooting policeman in Bahrain

Bahraini police have arrested several people in connection with the shooting on Sunday of a policeman in Sitra, south of the capital city of Manama.

A police officer was shot and injured on Sunday, in an attack claimed by a terror cell calling itself Saraya Al Mukhtar.

Investigations have revealed evidence that led to identifying a number of suspects, some of whome have been arrested, the general director of the Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science said.

Seventeen policeman have been killed since the 2011 unrest in Bahrain. Endit
