Thai group rally against U.S. ambassador for "violating diplomatic protocol"

Xinhua, May 23, 2016 Adjust font size:

A group of Thais rallied in front of the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok on Monday, calling for the U.S. president to recall its ambassador to Thailand Glyn Davies who they said had "violated diplomatic protocol."

The group who called themselves "W Thailand" said that the U.S. ambassador criticised sensitive issues in Thailand, including lese majesty laws and domestic politics, Thai media the Nation reported.

Davies' case was initiated by a private citizen, reports said. Endit
