Iran's army launches war games, tests missiles

Xinhua, May 22, 2016 Adjust font size:

Iranian Army Ground Force launched military drills in central region of the country and conducted missile tests on Sunday, Tasnim news agency reported.

Code-named Beit al-Moqaddas-28, the war game is scheduled to be performed in three stages. The first and second phases of the drill will be held on Sunday in the desert areas and the third will be carried out on Monday across Nasrabad operational zone in Isfahan province.

On the first stage of the drills, the army test-fired two Neze'at-10 missiles, each with the range of 140 km, as a part of the exercise in deserts near the central city of Kashan in Isfahan province.

The army's ground force has upgraded the latest generation of Naze'at missile, which has improved capabilities, including longer range, higher precision strike capability and stronger destruction power.

The missile can be launched from mobile pads, a unique characteristic compared with similar class ones. Endit
