Olympic tickets go on sale for swimming, basketball, athletics

A new round of tickets for Olympic basketball, swimming and athletics have been put on sale, Rio 2016 organizers said on Wednesday.

Fans have the chance to buy tickets to the events - which include finals - on the official Rio 2016 website from 12pm local time on Thursday.

Prices start at 14 US dollars for basketball, 29 dollars for athletics and 46 dollars for swimming.

Every Thursday, the Rio 2016 organizing committee puts on sale batches of tickets for sessions that were previously unavailable.

The Rio 2016 Olympics will be held from August 5 to 21 and the Paralympics from September 7 to 18. Endit
