Credit to Albania's private sector up by 2.4 percent

Bank credit to Albania's private sector saw growth of 2.4 percent in the first two months of 2016, Albanian Daily News reported on Thursday.

The growth in loans to enterprises offset the slowdown in loans to households, according to the report.

Still, the demand for financing remains sluggish, which, according to the report, reflects the risk averse nature of enterprises and the presence of unused production capacity.

Credit to the private sector across Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe all appeared to improve during the first two months of 2016, the report added. Endi
