Dollar changing hands in lower 110 zone in early trade in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 110 yen zone early in Tokyo on Thursday morning, largely in line with levels seen overnight when the U.S. currency spiked in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar traded at 110.23-33 yen compared with 110.14-24 yen in New York and 109.42-44 yen on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1220-1220 dollars and 123.67-68 yen against 1.1210-1220 dollars and 123.53-63 yen in New York and 1.1265-1266 dollars and 123.26-30 yen on Wednesday in later trade in the afternoon. Enditem
