Spanish stock market rises 0.88 pct, closes at 8,775 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.88 percent on Wednesday to close at 8,775.10 points, up from the 8,698.70 points of Tuesday.

During Wednesday's session, OHL shares led rises climbing 4.76 percent, followed by IAG, Ferrovial, Bankinter, Inditex and Indra A that rose 3.16 percent, 2.25 percent, 1.89 percent, 1.72 percent and 1.71 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Tecnicas Reunidas shares led falls losing 1.55 percent, followed by Merlin, ArcelorMittal, R.E.C., Acciona and Acerinox that fell 0.88 percent, 0.76 percent, 0.70 percent, 0.36 percent and 0.30 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.6 percent and Spain's risk premium at 143.50 points, both showing no big differences when compared with Tuesday. Endit
