Palestinians condemns demolition of 3 homes in Jerusalem

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned Wednesday the demolition of three homes of Palestinians in East Jerusalem claiming they have building permits.
The ministry said Israel's continued judaization policy of Jerusalem and expanding settlements leads Palestinians to lose hope in a just resolution and undermines peace efforts.
It said the almost daily demolitions and evictions in the city are part of a "systematic policy aiming to settle the final status issue and unilaterally."
"Each Palestinian home demolished represents both a humanitarian and political case full of sorrow and suffering overlooked by the international community," said the statement, in light of absent deterrent measures.
Israeli authorities demolished Wednesday a home belonging to a family of seven members north of Jerusalem under the pretext of a nonexistent building permit.
Two other homes were demolished as well near the old city in East Jerusalem.
Palestinians demand the declaration of East Jerusalem as the capital city of the Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, while Israel insists on Jerusalem being its own capital.
Peace talks between Israel and Palestine have been suspended since April 2014.
The U.S.-sponsored talks lasted nine months without tangible results. Endit
