Wozniacki pulls out of French Open

Former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki has withdrawn from the French Open because of an injury, local media reported on Tuesday, citing her father Piotr Wozniacki.

"She can not serve properly or jump as she used to, and she can not beat her backhand optimally, so it makes no sense to play now," Piotr Wozniacki told local TV station TV2.

The Danish tennis star, 34th in the world, hasn't played since she lost at the Miami Open in March.

On April 28, she revealed on her social media that she would have to quit the court for six weeks because of an ankle injury she suffered during practice.

The French Open is scheduled to begin on Sunday. Endit
