Two local journalists were shot dead in two separate attacks on them within a span of 24 hours in India, officials said Saturday.

NEW DELHI -- At least five people were killed and four others suffered burn injures Saturday in a devastating fire at a house in northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, officials said.

The fire broke out at Rajnagar area of Ghaziabad district, about 553 km northwest of Lucknow city, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. (India-Fire)

DAMASCUS -- A mortar shell struck the headquarters of the Syrian national TV in the country's northern city of Aleppo on Saturday, injuring a reporter, state news agency SANA reported.

Shadi Hilweh, a well-known reporter with the national TV, was wounded, along with three others in the headquarters when the mortar slammed the building. (Syria-TV-Shelling)

TEHRAN -- Iran has sent a delegation of gas officials to neighboring Iraq to discuss a gas deal with the country's energy officials, Iran's Petro Energy Information Network (SHANA) reported on Saturday.
