Chinese vice president meets Thai princess

Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met with visiting Thai Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol on Friday, calling for joint efforts to advance bilateral ties for the benefits of the two peoples.

Li appreciated Thai royal family's important role in promoting China-Thailand relations.

China attaches importance to the friendly ties with Thailand, Li said, expressing his hope that the two sides will make joint efforts to boost their comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation to benefit the two peoples.

The princess said she hopes the two countries will step up cooperation not only in politics, economy and culture, but also in social governance and justice. Endit
