The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Friday.

-- Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalgen said Ethiopia has given due attention to improving the productivity of small scale farmers as part of modernizing the agriculture sector.

The Premier who was among the panelists in 'Grow Africa' panel, a sideline event at the World Economic Forum in Kigali, said the government understands the need to modernize the agriculture sector, as the country's economy depends on it. (Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation/EBC)

-- The government of Ethiopia has begun moving people out of flood risk areas, said Getachew Reda, Government Communication Affairs Office Minister.
