Singapore stocks close 0.38 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 10.48 points, or 0.38 percent, to close at 2,734.91.

A total of 982.1 million shares changed hands with turnover of 1.04 billion Singapore dollars (759.1 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 249 to 140, while 521 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 12.52 points, or 0.46 percent, to close at 2,745.39 on Thursday. Endit
