Sebastian Fernandez struck a late equalizer to earn Uruguay's Nacional a 1-1 home draw with Boca Juniors in the first leg of their Copa Libertadores quarterfinal on Thursday.
Frank Fabra opened the scoring for the visitors in the 70th minute by running onto an Andres Chavez pass and storming into the penalty box before firing an unstoppable shot past goalkeeper Esteban Conde.
But Sebastian Fernandez equalized six minutes later at Montevideo's Gran Parque Central stadium with a spectacular volley after a corner.
The return leg will be played at Boca's Bombonera stadium in Buenos Aires next Thursday.
The Argentine outfit are aiming to win South America's top club trophy for a seventh time while Nacional are bidding for a fourth title. Endit
