Nepalese Prime Minister Sharma Oli said on Wednesday that his government was not in crisis.

Addressing a brief meeting with foreign diplomats, Oli said there should not be any confusion regarding stability of the government.

"In democracy, all the governments are periodic and temporary. All the governments have to face elections periodically. Rumor of current government being in crisis is not true," he said. (Nepal-Gov't-Crisis)

KATHMANDU -- China handed over medical equipment to the National Ayurveda Research and Training Center of Nepal on Wednesday.

More than 230 items worth 2.26 million U.S. dollars were transferred to Kathmandu-based center, which was established in 2011 with Chinese assistance.

Addressing the handover ceremony, the Nepalese government expressed appreciation toward China for extending support in the traditional medical field of Ayurveda. (Nepal-China-Medical Equipment)

JAKARTA -- Abu Sayyaf militant group in the Philippines has freed four other Indonesian nationals abducted on March 15, Indonesian President Joko Widodo said here on Wednesday.

"Thank God, finally four Indonesians kidnapped by Abu Sayyaf group can be freed," President Widodo said at the State palace.

The four are now with the authorities of the Philippines and will be immediately flown to Indonesia, said Widodo. (Indonesia-Hostages)

ISLAMABAD -- Ali Haidar Gilani, the son of Pakistani former Prime Minister, Yusuf Reza Gilani, who was kidnapped three years ago and recovered in Afghanistan on Tuesday, rejoined family on Wednesday.

Gilani was rescued in a joint operation by the Afghan and foreign forces in the eastern Paktika province that borders Pakistan, President Ashraf Ghani and the Resolute Mission said in Kabul on Tuesday.
