Indian stocks close lower

Indian stocks closed lower on Wednesday on fears triggered by a change in an inter-government treaty that will allow India to tax Mauritius investments and check tax evasion.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 25,597.02, 175.51 points or 0.68 percent down from previous close of 25,772.53, with a turnover of 428.50 crore rupees (about 64.2 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
