Indian stocks open lower

Indian stocks slipped at the opening on Wednesday after Indian government amended a long-standing tax treaty with Mauritius that plugs loopholes in the system and aims to check tax evasion.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex opened at 25,548.97, 223.56 points or 0.87 percent down from previous close of 25,772.53. Endit
