Slovak defense exhibition presents new weapons

The International Defence Exhibition Bratislava (IDEB) represents an ideal platform for presentation of the defence capability of the Slovak Republic, Martina Mackova, communication manager of Incheba, the organiser of IDEB, said Tuesday.

Armored personnel carriers, tanks, explosives detectors, armoured trucks, howitzers and a wide range of small arms, ammunition, the latest communications and IT devices, flight simulators, military uniforms, other military and police materials are displayed at the sixth edition of IDEB.

"The ALIGATOR 4x4 MASTER II armoured personnel carrier is having its world premiere at the exhibition, while the 'EVA' howitzer and 'DIANA' artillery guns are on show in Slovakia for the first time," said Mackova.

Some 152 exhibitors from more than 20 countries including the United States, Russia, Israel, Turkey and Britain are showcasing their equipment. The exhibition will run until May 12.

IDEB, takes place only once every two years, is one of the most important events of its kind in Central Europe. Endit
