Nigeria's NFF crisis takes new twist

The lingering leadership crisis rocking the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) took a new twist this week, when a factional leader of the soccer ruling body vowed to take office without further delay on Tuesday, following a court ruling which strengthened his ambition last month.
Chris Giwa, leader of a faction in NFF, said his team has concluded plans to assume duties at the Glass House, Nigeria's football secretariat in Abuja.
Giwa said his team failed to take over the football secretariat on Monday, which it earlier planned to, because it was putting finishing touches to its program of activities.
Giwa added the major plan of his team was to use football to develop and create job opportunities for the youth after taking office.
The incumbent NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, and his team have, however, kept mum on the latest vow made by his challenger. Endit
