The Macedonian Public Health Institute (PHI) said on Tuesday that half of Macedonians do not engage in sports.
A PHI research showed that 42 percent of men and 57 percent of women in the country do not take any kind of sport activity.
"Children aged between 5 and 17 should be active at least an hour a day," warned Dr. Igor Spirovski, head of PHI's food monitoring department.
"People aged between 18 and 60 should have physical activities for at least 150 minutes a week. People aged 60 and over should also move in line with their abilities. Walking for half an hour three times a week would be sufficient." Endit
