Malaysian stock market closes higher

The Malaysian stock market ended higher here on Tuesday.

The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) was at 1,635.84 up 3.65 points or 0.22 percent, and the Emas was at 11,447.22 up 11.01 points or 0.10 percent.

There were 427 gainers, 363 losers and 374 counters traded unchanged.

Turnover increased to 1.62 billion shares valued at 2.05 billion ringgit Malaysia(505.99 million U.S. dollars), compared with 1.69 billion shares valued at 1.55 billion ringgit Malaysia(385.96 million U.S. dollars) on Monday. Endit
