Int'l experts, officials discuss anti-terror, defense industry in Jordan

International defense industry leaders, manufacturers, officials and experts worldwide met in Jordan on Monday at the start of the 11th edition of the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX 2016).

SOFEX 2016, which will run until May 12, is expected to attract more than 380 exhibitors from 37 countries worldwide to display their cutting-edge special operations and defense equipment and technologies from across the world.

During the event, the participants will discuss cooperation in the defense industry field and counter-terrorism mechanisms.

Several agreements are expected to be announced during the event.

Managing Director Amer Tabbah affirmed that SOFEX is the largest international defense exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa region in the fields of special operations and homeland security.

He added that SOFEX focuses on special operations and peace corps affairs and equipment, military preparations and training. Endit
