Myanmar authorities boost security measures after bomb explosions in northernmost state

Myanmar regional authorities have taken security measures following five series of bomb explosions in Hpakhan township, northernmost Kachin state Sunday.

According to the regional government of the state Monday, the five explosions occurred in front of Myanmar military infantry battalion 424, police force office, near downward of Ooru Yadana jade hill bridge and other two places in which one person was injured.

The cause of the explosions is under investigation.

On May 5, a collapse of land waste from jade mine killed 13 people in the same Hpakhan township. Endit
