Guinea to audit education system in preparation for reforms

Xinhua, May 6, 2016 Adjust font size:

Guinean President Alpha Conde on Thursday said an audit of the country's education system would be launched soon as the country planned to make reforms in the sector, an official source says.

The audit will evaluate the system, from basic to higher education level.

The president, who was speaking during a cabinet meeting, expressed his concerns about the weakness of Guinea's education system, something he has spoken about since his election in 2010.

He recently sought support from countries like Morocco to help train Guinean teachers.

At the university level, the president expressed reservations about the teaching at some institutions, especially some private universities. Endit
