1st LD: Scottish National Party wins parliamentary election in Scotland

The ruling Scottish National Party (SNP) won the Scottish parliamentary election as the largest party with 58 seats in 93 seats announced out of the total 129 seats, poll results showed on Friday.

The SNP will form the Scottish government for the third time in a row, with the party's leader, Nicola Sturgeon, continuing as First Minister of Scotland, although the party is short of the overall majority as of press.

Among the announced seats, the Scottish Conservative Party garnered 16 seats, compared with 11 for the Scottish Labour Party. Endi
