Lao stock market closes 0.06 pct higher

The Lao stock market finished on Friday up 0.06 percent against the previous trading day.

The Lao Securities Exchange composite index increased by 0.66 points to 1,141.47. A total of 230,500 shares worth about 1.32 billion Lao kip (about 163,000 U.S. dollars) changed hands at the stock market.

There are five companies listed at the Lao stock market. Souvanny Home Center Public Company (SVN) unchanged at 3,400 Lao kip (about 42 U.S. cents). Petroleum Trading Lao Public Company (PTL) had no trade. Lao World Public Company (LWPC) also had no trade. Laos' largest commercial bank Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao (BCEL) rose by 1.05 percent to 4,800 Lao kip (about 59 U.S. cents). Shares of state-run energy giant Electricite du Laos Generation Public Company (EDL-Gen) unchanged at 5,750 Lao kip (about 70 U.S. cents). Endit
