Xi congratulates Teodoro Obiang Nguema on re-election as president of Equatorial Guinea

Chinese President Xi Jinping has congratulated Teodoro Obiang Nguema on his re-election as the president of Equatorial Guinea.

"I attach great importance to the development of the China-Equatorial Guinea relationship," Xi said in a congratulatory message on Apr. 29.

Xi said his country stands ready to work with Equatorial Guinea to take the implementation of the outcome of the 2015 Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation as an opportunity to push forward the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation to a new level. Endi
