Singapore stocks close 0.19 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 5.26 points, or 0.19 percent, to close at 2,767.81.

A total of 985.8 million shares changed hands with turnover of 1.00 billion Singapore dollars (738.4 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 177 to 172, while 566 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 38.13 points, or 1.36 percent, to close at 2,773.07 on Wednesday. Enditem
