At least nine people were killed in twin bombings that rocked Syria's central province of Homs on Thursday, a military source told Xinhua.

A car bomb and a booby-trapped motorcycle went off at the town of Mukharam al-Fukani in the eastern countryside of Homs, the source said on condition of anonymity.

Emergency crew are working to deal with the aftermath of the bombings, the source added. Endit
