"Finding Mr. Right 2" rules China's box office

Domestic romance "Finding Mr.Right 2" beat Disney's "The Jungle Book" in the week ending May 1, earning 355 million yuan (54.7 million U.S. dollars) after opening on April 29, China Film News reported Wednesday.

"The Jungle Book" dropped to second place after two weeks leading the box office. The film, released on April 15, rang up 212 million yuan in sales in the week.

"Yesterday Once More," a domestic campus romance, grossed 65.6 million yuan to land in third place in the week after its release on April 22.

In fourth was "Phantom of the Theater," a domestic thriller that opened on April 29, making 52.3 million yuan.

Rounding out the top five was "Miss Partners," which has grossed 52 million yuan since April 29. Endite
